Redness Relief Salve is a skin-calming salve explicitly developed to deal with persistent skin redness, and irritated and itchy skin associated with rosacea. The key herbs in this potent topical mix are comfrey, chamomile, licorice, chickweed, and calendula with added natural benefits of passionflower, ginger, and St. John’s wort. Each of these botanicals are carefully selected for their anti-inflammatory, soothing and healing properties, however, comfrey and chamomile are the most important components in this remedy. Both are naturally rich in allantoin, an effective emollient and exfoliant that aids in skin-healing, alleviating redness, swelling and inflammation. Specialty oils like argan, grapeseed, and jojoba oils are used for herbal infusions to support skin health and improve skin texture. Additionally, neem, rosehip and apricot kernel oil contribute to this powerful mix to help healing and promote the regeneration of skin tissues while supporting skin hydration. Kokum and avocado butters are ideal for treating dry or damaged skin, acting as a skin emollient while softening, and soothing at the same time. Aloe Vera and green tea extracts provide extra antibacterial and cooling benefits. Glycerin acts as a lightweight humectant retaining and preserving the natural moisture of skin and soothing dry skin as well. A small amount of carnauba wax thickens the mix while adding further protection. Vitamins A and E bring their own antioxidant properties to the blend. Carefully chosen essential oils provide their own anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial benefits.
Depending on the skin type, this salve may be on the oily side when first applied. Not recommended for very young children due the presence of neem oil.

This salve is NOT a cure, however can aid in reducing the overall discomfort and appearance of rosacea, or other persistent itchy skin ailments.
The results from applying Redness Relief Salve will be different from person to person.
Should not be used by very young children.
Do not use this salve if you have any chickweed or tree nut allergies. Chamomile belongs to the ragweed family and some people are allergic to ragweed. A small patch test is recommended to ensure absence of allergic reaction.
Apply to affected areas as often as 3 times per day for relief, especially after washing or bathing.

Botanicals

Carrier Oils
Gentle, light, easily absorbed, highly moisturizing, skin soothing and softening carrier oil well suited for all skin types, including combination, sensitive or acne-prone skin. Rich in oleic and linoleic acid, vitamins A, C and E, Omegas 9, 6, and 3, and palmitic and stearic acid that give it effective anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-aging, antiseptic, and anti-bacterial properties. In topicals, apricot oil is highly beneficial for cell regeneration, rejuvenating and keeping skin healthy, protecting it from inflammation and free radicals, and acting as a natural sunscreen. An additional benefit of apricot oil is that it helps alleviate the symptoms of eczema and other itchy skin conditions.
Argan oil is gentle, highly moisturizing and has anti-aging and anti-inflammatory effect. It absorbs quickly and is recommended for all types of skin in need of deep hydration. Rich in fatty acids and Vitamin E as well as antioxidants. It has anti-sebum properties and will naturally reduce excess oil production. Prevents sun damage, soften skin, and reduces fine lines.
Comedogenic scale: noncomedogenic and will not clog pores.
Noncomedogenic, mildly astringent, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic. Lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy feeling. High in the antioxidant vitamins C and E. Rich in oleic, linoleic, palmitic, and Omega 6 fatty acids that help to moisturize skin and maintain moisture balance. Contains the strong antioxidant flavonoid oligomeric procyanidin that is almost 50x more powerful than vitamins A and E. Reduces fine lines, helps to lighten skin discolorations and control skin breaks.
Jojoba Oil: Versatile natural emollient rich in vitamin E that acts as an antioxidant, with antibacterial and antifungal properties, also contains anti-inflammatory myristic acid. Having a consistency similar to that of oil naturally produced by human skin (sebum) it is absorbed easily and beneficial for all types of skin. Manuka essential oil is derived from Manuka honey, a premium type of honey extracted from the manuka bush found in New Zealand that is rich in a rare methylglyoxal (MG) compound.
